Intermittent Claudication

Corresponds to the state 2b of an arterial occlusion (AVK). Due to the occlusion of an artery, the musculature begins to lack oxygen when it comes to an increase in exercise. This usually occurs in a number of places in the leg, forcing the person to have to stop walking. To hide this weaknesses many affected people used to stop in front of shop windows, which is why the disease is also called "shop window disease" in German.
